LIFELONG
One whole life, from your first place to the Grim Reaper. Then your kids take over.

Nan's tip: put a smoke alarm in the kitchen before you try the pancakes. The fire brigade don't come quick enough otherwise.
The game
Run a life the way a real one runs
You start at 18 with $5,000, a starter home and up to three traits that make you who you are. From there it's up to you: find a job, cook dinner, call a friend, adopt a dog, ask someone out, get married, have kids, and watch them grow up and leave home.
Every person in the house has needs, feelings and a mind of their own. Tell them what to do, or let them get on with it. Each played day moves your life on half a year, and big decisions pop up as you go. When the Reaper knocks, your life story is told and you carry on as your partner or one of your children.

Going out
14 places on the map, and your friends' homes
Home is only the start. Open the map, take someone along, and meet the regulars. Strangers you chat to become people you know, and neighbours drop round with a fruitcake when you move in.
Every call is yours
Big decisions, small moments
Tell anyone what to do
Click someone, then click the fridge, the bed or another person. A menu opens round the pointer with everything they could do: cook, nap, chat, flirt, hug, argue, paint, blow bubbles or pull faces in the photo booth with a friend. Their queue fills up and off they go, or you leave them to their own free will.

Build up to three storeys
Drag out rooms, put in doors, windows and stairs, lay floors and paper the walls, then put the roof on. Shop 259 pieces in budget, standard or luxury, from a toilet to a DJ booth. The house stands in its own garden, with hedges, a fence and a gate. Vote on neighbourhood action plans, and watch your home turn green or smoggy. Give the home up to three lot traits, from homey to gremlins. A nicer home puts everyone in a better mood.

Friends, rivals and romance
Chat, joke, compliment and flirt your way from stranger to best friend or partner. Match with someone online, go on dates that get a score, propose with a ring, marry under a wedding arch, and wait for the bump. Dream dates, rows and betrayals leave lasting feelings, rivals mock you, exes make it awkward, friends text you when they marry, and faces show it all: blushes, tears and scowls.

Wants, aspirations and a life story
Everyone has three little wants at a time and a lifelong goal: fabulously wealthy, big happy family, bestselling author and more. Kids and teens get their own. Write a bucket list, face your fears, and hit milestones for satisfaction points and spend them on reward traits and potions.

Generations, and the ones who stay
Babies (sometimes twins), toddlers taking their first steps and saying their first word (and throwing the odd tantrum), kids who want a bedtime story and join the Scouts, teens off to prom, adults and elders. When your time comes the Grim Reaper fades in and a headstone takes your place, unless you plead well. The family holds a funeral and inherits what you leave. Play on as your partner or a grown-up child, and keep an eye on the garden at night: family ghosts float up from their graves.

Pets and animals
Adopt a dog or cat from the computer. Feed them, play with them, train them and take them to the vet, or watch the sofa get clawed. Out back, ride your horse and enter it in shows, and keep llamas, hens and a cow.
Follow them to work
26 careers that branch two ways, and part-time jobs, each with its own uniform. Drive there in your own car, go along to the office, kitchen, café, shop or clinic, and answer chance cards that change the day. Or open a shop of your own at home.
Things go wrong
Kitchen fires, burglars, bills in the post and the repo man, colds that go round the house, power cuts in a storm, neighbours who complain about the noise, and the odd alien abduction.
Help around the house
Dishes, laundry and bins pile up. Hire a maid, a nanny, a gardener, or a butler who cooks dinner and clears up.
Fame and fortune
Perform for stars and get recognised, make videos for your channel, earn royalties from the books you write, and buy flats to let out, if you can keep the tenants happy.
Hobbies at home
Build a rocket ship and blast off, keep hens for fresh eggs, water the houseplants and collect crystals, frogs, bugs and fossils.
Vampires, werewolves, mermaids, fairies and more
Get bitten and keep out of the sun, howl at the full moon, learn charms and hexes, sing siren songs at the sea, or flutter about on fairy wings. Zombies wander on full-moon nights, and the forbidden fruit turns you into a PlantSim.
Holidays and clubs
Get away to a tropical island or the jungle, ski and sled at Frostpeak Mountain, go bowling at Starlight Lanes, and start a club with your friends.
Strange and wonderful
Tarot readings, a genie's lamp with three wishes, a time machine, a weather machine, a money tree, Bonehilda the skeleton maid, and ambrosia that brings the dead back. And yes, motherlode works.
48 skills
Cooking, fishing, woodwork, violin, DJ mixing, mixology, photography and more. Some of them pay.
Seasons and weather
Rain, storms and the odd lightning strike, weekend festivals in the park, snowmen and snowball fights, snow days off school, sunburn and chills, Winterfest with Father Winter, a Spring Festival egg hunt, New Year fireworks, and holidays you can make up yourself.
Built in the open
